Well Finally got my boat back Monday afternoon, This has been some dilemma, <y wife gave me a new trolling motor for XMas. I really didn't need one by wow. Well I knew what it was wrapped under the tree, big box, so I didn't even unwrap it until I was ready to take it to NC a month ago. I noticed the box had been opened and retaped but what do you do. I had some graph work to do plus switch the motors,
Richard at NC called me several days later and told me that the Graphs were done but that there were several parts missing from he trolling motor box. I told my wife she called the and ended up talking to eBay and the on line company . EBay said after 30 days from purchase it was not there problem. The seller. DOTPHINS. Remember that name.
After several attempts Dotphin finally replied., She explained the problem and the promptly referred it to UPS.UPS referred her back to dotphins. Finally after much debate Dotphins said that Minkota would be sending us the 4 missing items in one to two weeks.
Two weeks came and went and np parts, My wife contacted Dotphins and was told that the parts were out of stock nationally. A quick check with Bass Pro showed that they were in stock at 407. This totally POed my wife who is a lady of few words but much action. She contacted Dotphin and called there hand on it. a few days and no reply. Having a broad knowledge of the law having been a paralegal for many years she then promised a deadline for legal action. Dotphin then contacted her and assured her that the parts would be delivered to us by the following week end.
The parts came that Saturday four weeks after our first contact with Dotphin. I took them to Richard and he finished the job while I waited/I planned to be back on the water Friday Sat6 and Sunday but I think Friday will be a little wet.
Bottom line be Leary of doing any business through EBay with Dotphin.
