i am like everyone else. my favorite bait is what the fish are biting. i truely enjoy being versatile with with a variety of baits. i agree with f2w about them being tools.
now if the question was if i could only pick one type lure for the rest of my life, it would be a jig.

I would have to agree. The jig would about have to be my pick for an all season lure. Probably the only lure I have tied on every trip I take, no matter the lake or time of year. Swim, hop it, drag it, swim it, fish it slow, fast, deep, shallow, clear water, hot dirty water, cold water, hot water, cast it, flip it, pitch it, skip it, nothing seems to approach its versatility. I have caught fish in every state I have fished with a jig.

lh82 that is exactly why i would choose a jig. very well put. can't wait until i get out on the water this spring and through a few "tools" at them.
