Have any of you guys tried the Denali bait casting rods? I am looking to buy a new 7' medium heavy rod for around $100.- $120.00. I have looked at several and don't want one that is too stiff in a medium heavy. Thinking of trying a Denali j2 rod. Anyone tried these?

Ranger I picked up a Denali last year and played with one for a few minutes. Never fished with one. I didn't buy it because I just didn't like the way it felt in my hand. I know that isn't much to go on but I noticed it right away. Just my 2 cents worth Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I ended up buying a Lew's Platinum Speed Stick. Looked the Daiwa Tatula XT really hard but decided on the Lew's because it felt very similar to the Daiwa and cheaper price.

I am slowly switching all my rods over to Joe Burns Rods. I have bought at least one or two for the last 3 years. I am going to have him make me a jerkbait rod here soon. Very good service and a lifetime warranty if you break one while performing a fishing activity. I broke one a few years ago while stringing line through the guides. Must have had a crack in the blank, he replaced it with no questions asked except what I did to it. He drove from Cleveland, TN and delivered it to me. I won't forget that.
